Hutto’s Rockabilly Brewing announces temporary closure to begin renovations

HUTTO — Rockabilly Brewing, a craft microbrewery located at 1133 CR 137, Hutto, Texas, announced Dec. 17 will be its last day open in 2023 and it will reopen in early 2024 with some much-anticipated changes.

Upon its opening, the microbrewery assured guests that, while they are still a very rustic spot, they had big plans for the hill-country-esque property. Owners Brandi and Jimmy Calhoun passionately describe what the current building on the property will eventually look like, and are very excited to finally have a safe play area for kids.

“We’ve been very adamant from the beginning that we want to be a family-friendly space, and while the bounce house from Reed’s Party Rentals has been a wonderful placeholder, we’re so ready to have a playscape that kids can enjoy,” Brandi said.

Renovations will be done in three phases and include indoor seating, patio seating, food, TVs, a kid’s play area, a new entry, parking and more. There will be so much room for activities!

“We’re also very excited to get working on some new brews! Our Tangerine King has been very well received this year and we’re so ready to show everyone what else we’re capable of,” said Jimmy.

A House Warming Party is being planned to celebrate Rockabilly’s grand reopening in 2024, however, details are still TBD. Make sure to follow the brewery on Facebook or Instagram, or sign up for their newsletter, to receive details when they become available. The Calhouns invite everyone to follow along on TikTok in real time as updates are made and finished.
